Place of Birth: Oak Park, IL

Since I was born in the Midwest; grew up in New England (where I developed a strong passion for real maple syrup and ONLY real maple syrup - sorry, Aunt Jemima); went to college at Campbell University in Buies Creek, N.C.; and moved to Oak Brook to attend the Illinois Center for Broadcasting, I consider myself a man of multiple cultures. Whether it's dissecting the teams I root for - Chicago Bulls, Notre Dame Football, Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and Duke Basketball - or my tastes in the culinary world - give me some Chicago-style deep dish pizza, New York City style thin crust pizza, and Bojangles chicken and fries and I'm a happy guy -, I thoroughly enjoy experiencing what life has to offer. God has blessed me immensely in everything I have done, and you will not find a more grateful student of ICB, past or present, than me. My on-air time has been plentiful in my 25 years (although I don't recall any broadcasting when I was 4), doing mostly play-by-play for Campbell Fighting Camels athletics and Dartmouth Big Green athletics. My broadcasting mentors, Mike Vaccaro and Robert Harper, have helped me get on the air, learn preparation, and treat every broadcast as a gift to the listener's ears. I don't necessarily have any broadcasters I "admire" or "look up to" on the national level, but I do enjoy me some Colin Cowherd (not on in Chicago, sadly) in talk radio, and Dan Shulman and Mike Patrick in play-by-play (actually met Mike once, great guy). Talking sports is what I want my job to be, but I don't want to be known solely as a sportsbroadcaster; I want to be the most ultra mega-fly husband, father, grandfather, disciple, witness (but not to you, LeBron), friend, brother, and son I can be as I work my up the broadcasting ladder.

Some Q and A just for the ladies...

Q. Favorite team?
A. Notre Dame and the Patriots.

Q. Favorite movie?
A. Anchorman and Rudy.

Q. Favorite song?
A. Right now, "Revelation" by Third Day, but anything Justin Timberlake does is gold.

Q. Favorite game I've been to?
A. It's close between two, but the Virginia Tech @ Duke game in 2005 when Sean Dockery hit a game-winning shot at the buzzer from just across half-court to win. I was in the Cameron Crazies section w/ a friend of mine, and we had the perfect line of sight to see the shot released and hit nothin' but net. Needless to say, the place went BERZERK and we stormed the court.

Q. I'm on death row. Last meal?
A. Either my mom's spaghetti and meatsaballs (as Mario and Luigi would say), or Bojangles 4 piece supreme dinner w/ fries and a Dr. Pepper.

Q. Ultimate goal in broadcasting?
A. Being a play-by-play broadcaster for a network or a major team, preferably Notre Dame. But I'm pretty open to many different jobs in the biz.

Q. Top 3 TV shows?
A. Family Guy, How I Met Your Mother, The Simpsons

Q. Do I love talking about myself?
A. You betcha.
