Dan Dignan
My name is Dan Dignan. I grew up in Orland Park, IL and resided there until 2010. Currently, I live in Lombard and attending the Illinois Media School. The main reason I enrolled is my passion for sports. I grew up playing hockey, golf, and baseball and still play today as well. So, that is where my passion started. Sports have been of the biggest influences in my life. It taught how to be a leader, a hard worker, and a team player. My favorite sports teams are the Chicago Blackhawks, Cubs, Bears, Bulls, Dallas Cowboys, and Toronto Maple Leafs.
Since enrolling at the Illinois Media School, I have learned so much knowledge about broadcasting and media. Right now, I am the voice of the Chicago Cougars Hockey Team. This experience has been a dream come true because I am developing my play by play and color commentary skills. Also, learning how to properly prep before the game and doing interviews with coaches and players has been essential. I am looking forward to the challenges and hard work that comes within the industry.
