The Windy City Bulls will be taking on the Texas Legends on Saturday night, as the Bulls look to
bounce back after a tough loss to the Erie Bayhawks on Nov. 12th. The Legends lost their first
game of the season and will no doubt be coming into the Sears Centre with steam coming out
The Bulls will also be ready to pounce, as the three point loss to the Bayhawks has the team
fired up and ready to play for their home fans. But, coach Nate Loenser must have a solid game
plan ready for the Legends’ Manny Harris, who dropped a whopping 49 points in his debut with
Kyle Collinsworth is another player who’ll be dangerous for Texas, as his 11 assists against the
Maine Red Claws, was crucial in the Legends’ offensive attack. If the Bulls can slow down
Harris, and prevent Collinsworth from getting any easy dimes, they will be in great shape.
R.J. Hunter and Spencer Dinwiddie provided a heavy dose of the scoring in the loss to Erie, with
24 and 22 points a piece. However, one of the big flaws for the Bulls, is their three point
shooting, as, in back-to- back games, they shot under 40% from behind the arc.
But, after blowing out the Long Island Nets, and losing only by a few points to the Erie
Bayhawks without relying on made three point shots, makes the Bulls that much more
dangerous if they can hit the long range bombs.
J.J. Avila had a monster game in the season opener but went quiet during the game against
Erie. If he can play the way he did during the opener, and if players like Dinwiddie can continue
to provide the scoring load, especially with Hunter back in the NBA, this will make for a deadly
Aaron Thomas went 8-9 and dropped 16 points against the Bayhawks, as the Bulls can certainly
use a spark plug like him off the bench against the Legends. Game three of the WIndy City
Bulls first year of existence is this Saturday night at 7pm CST at the Sears Centre Arena.
