Jimmie Johnson leads 289 laps en route to a dominating victory in the FedEx 400 at Dover International Speedway.

What It Means
Jimmie Johnson and Chad Knaus are back, and back in a big way; I think NASCAR should be on the look out. The Lowe's Team has now won 2 of the last 3 point races and even the Sprint All Star race.

Another Lead Lap Finish
Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished 4th this weekend and, more importantly, on the lead lap. The Dew Crew is the only team that has completed all 4,288 laps this season. He also raced his way to his fifth top five of the year. He had only 4 the entire 2011 season.

Up In Smoke
This year has been up and down for Tony Stewart. He won two races in March and it appeared he and new crew chief, Steve Addington, were going to be a force. Since his third place at Richmond, Smoke has finished three of the last four races 24th or worse, including today when he was caught up in an accident on lap 9 and forced to the garage for repairs.

Gordon Stuggles
Today looked like a solid run for Jeff Gordon, who was leading when he had to make a unscheduled pit stop for a loose wheel. He was able to fight back but an untimely caution ruined his bid to challenge Jimmie Johnson and he wound up 13th. He now sits 21st in the Sprint Cup Standings.

New Rainbow Warriors???
Jimmie Johnson not only walked away with the FedEx 400 today, he also had some fun. Promoting the  new movie, Madagascar 3, Jimmie Johnson and the Lowe's Team sported rainbow color wigs today and even decorated Miles The Monster in Victory Lane.

TheNASCARTER's Take
The race had good action throughout the field and if Jimmie Johnson wasn't racing, we may have seen a better finish. It was also the last race weekend for FOX Sports, who seemed to be off their game this season.

Up Next
This weekend, NASCAR will enjoy a short week before it heads to Pocono, Pennsylvania, for the Pocono 400 at Pocono Raceway.
